Welcome to Argos & Zingara, the maritime nations of the Hyborian age. Argos and Zingara are two of the most politically volatile nations of the world, where men's destinies are decided through wealth and sword. These are vibrant realms of bloody strife and darksome horror.

  • Softcover
The Conan RPG is possibly the best OGL franchise of the D20 system. With a more dymanic and realistic system of combat and a fast, vigorous style of play this is one of the most exciting RPGs on the market.
The Argos & Zingara book is a welcome addition to the Conan product range. By publshing these two rival nations in one book Mongoose has cleverly given the reader dozens of great ideas of adventures and character creation themed around these interesting parts of Hyboria.
The book itself is very in keeping with the Conan core book and the writings of Conan Creator, Robert E. Howard. The layout is good and straight forward with very clear text and a good index. The quality of the background information is the main strength of the Conan RPG and this book is certainly a rich and useful source of that.
This book links well with many of the other Conan D20 products and is a must for any players or GMs who want a piratical themed campaign.
The artwork in the Mongoose Conan series is of a good standard and easily as interesting and inspiring as most of the books Wizards Of The Coast produce, although I must say that the artwork is still one of the weaker elements in this excellent book.
As a final note the book contains some great information on Argossian gladiators with new Feats, rules and weapons for these characters so there is something for everyone whether Noble or Thief, Pirate or Barbarian.
